Polytechnic

Polytechnic may refer to:
- an educational institution in several countries, providing education which ranges from secondary or vocational education to higher education, including university level as in the case of a polytechnic university.
- Polytechnic (Portugal), an educational institution in Portugal since the 1980s. After 1998 they were upgraded to institutions which are allowed to confer bachelor's degrees (the Portuguese licenciatura). In addition, after the Bologna Process in 2007, they have been allowed to offer 2nd cycle (masters's) degrees to its students.
- Polytechnic (United Kingdom); since the Further and Higher Education Act (1992), all UK polytechnics have been elevated to new universities.
