William Cudney

William Cudney, played by Will Cote, is a fictional character on the HBO prison drama Oz.

Prisoner #99C124. Convicted February 10, 1999 - Murder in the first degree. Sentence: Life imprisonment without the possibly of parole.
He is sentenced to life without parole for murdering the child of a doctor who performed an abortion on his wife.

Cudney is one of the Christians in Oz and refuses to participate in the prison boxing tournament. He also tries to talk Cyril O'Reily out of participating and when Cyril's brother Ryan finds out, he beats Cudney with a Bible. Later, he pays Cudney to steal some chloral hydrate which O'Reily was using to spike the water of Cyril's opponents in the boxing tournament. When Cudney finds out about this, he threatens to tell the guards; before he can, however, O'Reily pays Yuri Kosygin to kill him. Cudney was later found dead in his cell with two stab wounds to the neck.
